A wall of flame from a burning warehouse obliterates the sky. Twelve firefighters suffered minor injuries battling the fire, according to FDNY spokesman Matt Getz.






Black smoke rises over Manhattan as a vacant, three-story warehouse burns across the East River in Brooklyn. More than 400 firefighters were dispatched to the inferno.













Plumes of black smoke rise Monday as a fireboat sprays water from the East River. Five boats were sent to help fight the fire, which spread through a block of empty warehouses.
